the gift of health

The Gift of Health is an energetic healing practice presented by Allison Slater, Kate Mayo and Christian Steyl. The healing process works with the energetic anatomy, specifically with the auric field, the five elements, the chakras and the meridians.

Like Reiki, it is non-invasive, gentle, and directs towards the highest good. The Gift of Health differs from traditional Usui Reiki in that it has its own pattern of hand positions and is a fully hands-on modality.

The practice balances the elements, chakras, meridians, hormonal system, and upper and lower lymph points.

quantum sensory healing

Quantum Sensory Healing has grown out of the pioneering Quantum Touch work developed by Richard Gordon in the 1970s.

This modality recognizes the body’s innate ability to heal itself and places the practitioner in the role of facilitator.

A session involves touching and pressing various parts of the body and incorporates hand positions, breathing techniques, and chakra healing.

reiki

I was taught in the traditional school of Usui Reiki that was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan before spreading to other parts of the world.

The term Reiki can be translated from the Japanese as a combination of the word Ki, meaning life force or energy, and Rei meaning God-consciousness. Thus, in Reiki it is God-consciousness that guides the life force or energy and directs it towards healing, and for the greatest good of all.

Currently, I am internationally certified as a second degree Reiki practitioner and was trained by Reiki master and teacher Debbie Caknis, in association with the International School of Intuition and Healing. The worldwide accreditation I hold is through the IPHM in the UK: International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine

I will sit the Code of Conduct examination in 2025 and my hope is to complete my Reiki 3 training in 2026.

What you can expect from a Reiki session

Reiki is very gentle and non-invasive and can do no harm. In a session, you will remain fully clothed but will remove your shoes before resting comfortably on a therapy bed.

I will place my hands in various positions, with hands on the body, hands-off, or both. You won’t need to do anything. Most people find Reiki deeply relaxing and restorative.

“So be it and may it harm none.”

Please note that Reiki is not a form of massage. If you are needing body work, I will happily refer you to some incredible practitioners who can provide this and whom I go to regularly myself.
